Introduction

Background of the Study

Generation nowadays is strongly connected with technology. Almost everything

can be done with technology now. When talking about technology, computerization has a
big factor on it. Computerization has a control to decide and handle in the process on all
business work field. It lessens human errors and can save time. This can result in a
system with high quality and well-integrated process that can perform more precisely
and accurately than the manual process. Enrollment is the process of entering and
confirming information and data of students to enroll on a particular school. Enrollment
system is specifically used in registering and recording student information. Tracing
student information is one of the characteristics of Enrollment System in which the user
can track the student status. Payments were also added to open and check the bill of the
students. Enrollment System is one of a good example of computer generated process.
It can provide accurate information needed of the school. As an output, it will benefit both
students and teachers.

Enrollment System is very important in every school. In the case of

Pagalanggang National High School, they are using manual enrollment system.
Pagalanggang National high School was started in June 1995 with one hundred fifty
(150) students divided into three (3) sections with four (4) founded teachers. Under the
supervision of Dr. Reycor P. Sacdalan, a head teacher of one hundred eighty five (185)
initially graduated students, the staff increased to nineteen (19). Enrollment System of
Pagalanggang National High School steadily rose up. From 1999 to march 2002, Dr.
David G. Cannu continued to serve. The school with Fidel V. Ramos building and two
storey building were constructed for fourth year students. Pagalanggang National High
School was known as one of the most popular schools in Dinalupihan and became one
of the schools who possess the highest standards of excellence.

During the term of Dr. Reycor P.Sacdalan, the Tet Garcia building and Herminia
Roman building were constructed. Seven (7) teachers were added in the school
because enrollment system increased tremendously.
 In 2006 2007, Dr. Erlinda Gatdula V.E supervision became the officer in charge,
she persist of bringing the best among the student of Pagalanggang National High
School. After 12 years of service the Pagalanggang National High School is still going
strong. In 2007 2011, Mrs. Gemma Teresa P. Cabreros who continued leading in the
school, the school remained with remarkable achievements. Thru the lead of the
principal, the Department of Public Works and Highways building were constructed. Thru
the effort of Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the path walk and extension of auditorium
roofing had been constructed. And also thru the supervision of Mrs. Ludivina S. Omania,
an English Center and HT III English was materialized.

In 2011, Mrs. Marcelita D. Diwa became the new principal assigned in this
school. She led personal trainings and efficient use of individual skills in bringing the
1796 clients. Another Five (5) teachers were added during her term in PNHS. In her
early supervision, the extension of auditoriums flooring was her initial project. In April
2012, another classroom was constructed beside the school stage and was completed
during this time, the building funded by DepEd (Department of Education) National.

In June 13, 2013, Ms. Edna B. Empleo was assigned as new principle. Eleven
(11) teachers were given permanent during her first month in school. In 2015, Mrs.
Arlene M. Matilde was assigned as new principal until this current time.

Enrollment is one of the hardest process on every school particularly on the

cashier office. It is very hard for every cashiers to make the payment process accurate
and easy. Manual process in terms of enrollment is very inaccurate and time consuming.
The study will provide more easy way to give the needs of the students as well as the
Guidance office.

Objectives of the Study

General Objectives

The main objective of the study is to develop a Computerized Enrollment System

for Pagalanggang National High School that will lessen or reduce the amount of work of
the Guidance and ICT.
Specific Objectives

1. To design a computerized Enrollment System that will replace the manual

process.
2. To create a report that contains the lists of registered and enrolled students.
3. To search the basic students information.
4. To view the names of enrolled students
5. To prevent or avoid the loss of reports and records.
6. To keep all the records of test, registration and payment transaction.
7. To save the information of new students
8. To retrieve old records

Scope and Limitation of the Study

The system includes a computerized registration, payment and enrollment

process. It allows ICT to fill the basic information needed. It allows the Guidance to
recover or restore information. It also allows the Guidance to view and to check the
status of the students.

The use of the system is limited to ICT and Guidance only and creates related
reports only. The system is not web-based. It cannot display the information to ICT. ICT
may not add or delete the information once they have been entered or registered.

Significance of the Study

The importance of this study is to provide the Pagalanggang National High

School an accurate and quality service that will lessen their works.
