A Self Made Man


The greatest Muslim ruler of India who built grand trunk road and come to
ruler over a large fort of Hindustan but his region period was just of five year from
A.D 1540 to 1545 beside the road the ruler gave us a good system of land revenue,
postal service beside the Qazi court and panchayat system of his subcontinent
subject the name of that ruler was Shear Shah Suri.
He was born on 1486 by birth name Farid Khan. His father was a jugular in
Behor. He was a name with devotion. He developed his lane for knowledge. He
grew into fire young man with full of courage and wisdom. His doing nature
pleased Bahudor Khan. He looks Farid Khan into his service.
Shear Shah not having been born under favorable family circumstances had
to make his life through adversity. Through Shear Shah had started his career as a
civilian officer so he was not a solider by profession but due to commander so he
got training in military in his boyhood and was tradition of that line it was do for
self protection and self defense
Shear Shah was so devoting person that one he was hinting with his master
when he killed a tiger with one stroke of sword his master so impressed that gave a
title of Shear Khan.
He was a very good person and he was keen to make himself a great man. In
1526 he left his service of hoverer and joins the Babu. But he did not serve his for
long and to return later but that time his master had decided so in 1534 he over
founded his son and came to be ruler of Behar in this way he made himself a
powerful revival to Mangol king of Delhi. His ability in out sting the Mugal
emperor
Humayun, by defeating him in two battle and thus over throwing the Mugal
Emperor within ten years in great proof of his fine generalship. As a general he
invariably displayed consummate skill and cunning in every campaign during his
five year rule he set up new civic and military administration issued the first rupee
and struck new coin in his own name. In 1540 he founded the rule of Suri Dynasty
in their subcontinent.
Shear Shah put place an effective judicial system. Civil court was handled
by Amin while criminal case went to Qazi and Mir-I-Idol. He also worked on
developing army. He supervises the recruitment of solider and fixing of their
salves.
He was deeply religious, God fearing and kind hearting devoting most of his
evening time in reading Quran and offering a five prayers a day. He had allowed
perfect freedom of religious to Hindus. He was generous and gave liberal grant of
money to poor and distribute to needy and sick. He started free kitchen for Muslim
and Hindus in thousand every day.
Shear Shah has been rightly called as one of the greatest ruler of India. He
lived for state and worked hard for the welfare of his subjects. He tried his best to
safeguard the law breaker and thieves with iron hand so road become safe for
travelers. He was a brave solider and forbade his soldiers to plunder cities or
destroy crops when going on any expedition. He under look extensive work of
public utilities like construction of roads which connected with another the cities.
He also had karavansaries built at every five miles for convenience of traveler he
had wells and trees planted along road. All these things combined made Shear
Shahs region as one of most glorious period of Indian History.
Shah built monuments including Rotas Fort, many structures in Rohtasgarh
Fort in Bihar, Shah Suri Masjid in Patna, Qila-I-Kuhna, and Mosque at Purana Qila
etc. His administration was just wise and vigorous. Keen say
No general even British have not shown so much wisdom like this Phatan King.
This was done because of his undefeatable energy which he applied in
working of his administration. He proved a regular postal service which improved
the work of government and helped merchants in day to day business.
Croaks was rightly said that Shah was the first who attempted to form an Indian
empire broadly based upon the people will. He gave the country a government,
vigorous and just worked the political regeneration and economic prosperity of
people
Shah was thinking from the very beginning to turn out the Mugal whom he
considers as foreigners. He can therefore rightly be called a champion of Indian
revolt against Mugal
Shear Shah Suri ruled for only five years but he brought great reforms in the
society and establish new look of society. He was a practical ruler who serves for
his people.
