Purpose
The present article identifies all the known CFDS anomalies and BITE deviations. It is
intended to be used by maintenance engineering as a synthetic document, providing a short
description of each deviation, as well as the affected part and the helpful information, with a
cross-reference to relevant additional documentation procedures. The failure/warning
messages and behaviors that should be known by line maintenance teams are covered by
the TSM.

All CMC and CFDS filter envelope content are described in the ISI 45.00.00039.

1. Purpose

The present article identifies all the known CFDS anomalies and BITE deviations. It is
intended to be used by maintenance engineering as a synthetic document, providing a short
description of each deviation, as well as the affected part and the helpful information, with a
cross-reference to relevant additional documentation procedures. The failure/warning
messages and behaviors that should be known by line maintenance teams are covered by
the TSM.

The condition of occurrence of the messages and behaviours described herein is accurate,
known and reproducible. It also includes intermittent occurrences for which a statistical
survey revealed more than 1 every 5 flights per aircraft without any logbook complaint.
This revision introduces updated data. Changes are highlighted by a vertical revision bar in
the left of the respective page. New and Revised items in the attached ISI-
00.00.00228_<date>.pdf file parts A, B, C and D are highlighted by a vertical adjacent
NEW and R in the page margin.

2. Description

This part of the article describes the attachments of the present ISI.
Airbus has updated the CFDS BITE anomalies according to below layout.

The attached ISI-00.00.00228_<date>.pdf file is divided into four parts which are:

A. The list of failure messages (internal and external) which request specific maintenance
action.
B. The list of ECAM WARNINGS and MAINTENANCE STATUS, which request specific
maintenance action.
C. The list of CLASS 3 failure messages which request specific maintenance action.
D. The anomalies related to the general use of the CFDS.

Note 1: The classification criteria of data recorded in parts A, B, C, D of this document is the
ATA chapter associated to the message/anomaly.
Each page of parts A, B, C and D indicates:
1. The ATA chapter of the message or anomaly.
2. The description of the message which is considered as non-justified under some
conditions.
3. Airbus recommendations.
4. The LRU affected by the anomaly.
5. The P/N of the affected LRU.
6. The LRU corrective P/N.
7. The reference of additional documentation to obtain more details about the anomaly.
Note 2: New/revised items are highlighted by a vertical adjacent NEW or R in the margin.

Note 3: Lower-case letters such as i or j represent a variable integer (usually 1, 2, or 1 to 3).

i and j are used in the messages.
X represents any alphanumeric character in the P/N

Note 4: For each item, check carefully that the P/N fitted on your aircraft corresponds to the
affected P/N mentioned in the ISI. Otherwise, the remark is not applicable to your A/C.

Nota 5: Deviations are also available into the ISI-00.00.00228_<date>.csv file for easy
processing with office tools such as EXCEL.
In addition, a macro is provided to allow the operator to automatically sort out the data by tab.

3. Procedure to use the ISI in CSV FORMAT with the associated macro

Step 1: Unzip the file ISI-00.00.00228_<date>.zip

Step 2: The csv file may be opened in office tool such as EXCEL or other application. In
EXCEL, data will be displayed in text format, each field being separated by a ;.

Step 3: Use command DATA / Text to column if you want to display data sorted by column

OR

use the macro ISI_BITE_Tools_Convert to get the data sorted by TAB.

Once the csv file is opened (Step 2)
Double click on the file Export XLS.xla
Select ENABLE to enable the macro to run.
Click on macro ISI BITE Tools Convert to run the macro.
Use the tabs to access the ISI sub-sections
