Subject: Appeal submitted online by Sh. Lokesh Batra under Section 19 of the RTIAct,
2005

Shri Lokesh Batra has filed first appeal dated 09.02.2017 online on the ground that
CPIO has denied information by quoting relevont section of RTIAct against his online
RTIapplication dated 02.01.2017.

2. Sh Lokesh Batra in his online RTIapplication dated 02.01.2017 had sought to know
number of applicants, name of applicants, file no. and procedure to be adopted for
selection of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioners in the
Central Information Commission w.r.t advertisement dated 02.09.2016. The CPIO in her
response dated 27.01.2017 informed the applicant that the process of appointment of
ClC/ICs is not yet over and the information was exempted under Section 8( 1)(i) of the
Act. It was also informed that the information shall be made public only after the action
is over.

3. The records were perused and it was found that the information furnished by the
CPIO is in order and is as per the provisions of the RTIAct.

4. The appeal is disposed off accordingly.
