Race stereotypes
c. Why is mass media considered significant to stereotyping?
As a result of depending largely on the second-hand source of mass media, mass media in

of culture, therefore, mass media have a strong influence in supporting and tearing down
stereotypical characteristics.
d. Why are stereotypes functional?
Our tendency is to reduce complexity to simplicity. We trade-off for simplification, which
can lead to inaccuracy and we are often unaware of this deduction.
e. What is the most influential factor in stereotyping? Why?
Prejudice is the most influential factor of stereotypes because our perceptions are highly
subjective, and many people subscribe to derogatory descriptions of ethnic groups.
5. Define family dynamics. Family dynamics is the way in which members of a family interact with
each other in relation to their individual goals and preferences. Although the family is a unit, people
are individuals.

6. According to this definition, what are your family dynamics?

In my family everyone is an individual and usually will fix or reach a goal on their own we are our own
people and we like to reach our goals alone to feel a pride of success. When it comes to real big family
issues we all come in to fix our problems as a family event if at times we dont agree with each other.
