1. Using your notes and class work, discuss the lives of the working class in Great Britain.

What legal aspects were changing? Was the working class living through good

conditions? List at least three legal or social changes that occurred in Great Britain during

the 19th and early 20th centuries and discuss how they came to be.

people. Include information about their relationship to the British, the benefits and

negative aspects about going to America, and why potatoes were so important to Irish

people.
3. Using your notes, class work, and reading guide: explain the vast amount of change that

occurred in France during the 19th and early 20th century. This answer must include your

understanding of the Dreyfus Affair and its importance. Also, this answer should include

both information about the second empire and the third republic. Who was in charge in

these regimes and how did it influence the people of France.
