Democracies Assessment

select one of the following prompts and write 2-3 paragraphs answering the question. Your grade
will be dependent on how you use PRESENTED COURSE MATERIAL to fully answer one of
the following prompts. You must think about your answer and use specific details such as names
and events that are included in your topic. Answer each aspect of the questions thoroughly.
Prompts
1. Using your notes and class work, discuss the lives of the working class in Great Britain.
What legal aspects were changing? Was the working class living through good
conditions? List at least three legal or social changes that occurred in Great Britain during
the 19th and early 20th centuries and discuss how they came to be.
2. Using your notes and in class work, explain how the potato famine effected the Irish
people. Include information about their relationship to the British, the benefits and
negative aspects about going to America, and why potatoes were so important to Irish
people.
3. Using your notes, class work, and reading guide: explain the vast amount of change that
occurred in France during the 19th and early 20th century. This answer must include your
understanding of the Dreyfus Affair and its importance. Also, this answer should include
both information about the second empire and the third republic. Who was in charge in
select 1 of the following prompts and write 1 paragraph answering the question. Your grade will
