Casady School, Oklahoma City, OK (Fall 2014-present)
Upper Division Latin and Ancient Greek
Designed and implemented the pre-AP program to get students acquainted with the
rigorous translation and deeper level of analysis necessary to succeed on the AP exam.
Differentiated lesson plans to address the needs of individual students including several
with language learning differences.
Revitalized Upper Division chapter of the Junior Classical League, taking students to
competitions and the annual state convention resulting in higher level of student
engagement and retention.
Yearbook Advisor and Class Teacher
Launched project-based curriculum covering photography, design, and journalistic
techniques resulting in a final product with fewer errors, better photos, and more accurate
captions.
Recruited students to mirror the diversity of the school and increased coverage of student
body in the yearbook.
Upper Division History Teacher
Developed one trimester classical history seminar for students with no background in Latin
or ancient Greek.
Implemented a Senior Research Seminar to provide students an in-depth experience in
research practices and expectations at the college level.
