A culminating activity I could have students do (Visual Arts Grade 9/10) based on colour
theory could be creating a painting using either a cool colour scheme or a warm colour
scheme from the colour wheel. They would have to use either reds, oranges, yellows, or
blues, greens, violets using colour mixing to make tints (adding white) shades (by adding
black) or tones (by adding grey). After students create there work they are to do a short
write up on the colours they used in their painting and what colour mixing they did.
