Section 1 Machine Bill Acceptor Interface and Currency Option

In Aristocrat machines MK 5 Series 1 the choice of communication interface and the

currency accepted is determined by Communications Configuration Boards (CCBs).
These boards come pre-programmed by Aristocrat for particular country with particular
interface. These boards are identified by six digit I.D. number that is located in the
lower right corner. Please see figure 1.1

I.D. 410467 is RS232 interface currency Soles.

Before installing the bill validator it is important to determine what configuration

boards are in the machine. These boards are located in the main board 72 pin SIMM
socket. Please see the figure 1.2 below.

Communication option is determined by the type of Communication Configuration
Board that is in the machine. Depending on the country the information for these boards
can be obtained from local Aristocrat Representative.

Section 2 Machine VFM Peru Communications Configuration Board Option

To perform retrofit for Aristocrat MK 5 S1 machine the following items are required:

1) Cashcode SM2005PE7014 bill acceptor

2) Cashcode communication cable with Serial Wired Plug

(Length 180 cm)

3) Custom made brackets (Brackets can be made locally or by Cashcode distributors)

4) 110 - 240VAC to 12 VDC power supply with SM 6 pin power plug

5) Power cable
(Aristocrat power cable can be ordered from Cashcode distributors or locally purchased)

Section 2.1 SM Bill Acceptor Installation

SM2005PE7014 is retrofitted into the door of the machine by removing the original
(GPT) bill validator and its brackets and placing Cashcode SM bill validator with
custom made brackets. Please see the figure 2.1.1 below.

VFM WIRED CABLE can be made from the original GPT cable. In the machine the
original GPT cable machine connector please see figure 2.1.2 below

is connected to the backplane board JP1 plug. Please figure 2.1.3 below
Figure 2.1.3 Note: The JP1 plug has 12 pins starting from pin 1 at the bottom to pin 12
at the top. The GPT bill acceptor connector figure 2.1.4 is replaced by Cashcode Serial
Wired connector.

Figure 2.1.4 Note: This connector can be different depending on the GPT model
installed, always refer to JP1 plug pin-outs below regardless of the connector used.
Section 2.2 SM Bill Acceptor Pin-outs

The JP1 plug pin-outs and Cashcode pin-outs must be connected in the following
fashion. Please see the Table 2.2.1 below.

Section 2.3 Machine Protocol Setup Options

Aristocrat MK5 Series 1 provides three protocol options: JCM3, VFM4, and V2.2
Depending on CCB card used and SM software used only one option is the correct
option. For Peru with VFM CCB card the VFM4 option should be chosen. Please see
the figure 2.3.1 below.

Credit multiplication is chosen by the customer and is configured by dip switch 2
position on the small box. Please see the figure 2.3.2 below.

On the big switch box dip switches 1-7 can be set to ON position
Dip switch 8 must be set to OFF position.

On the small switch box the dip switch 2 must be set to OFF position and dip switch 4
must be set to ON position
Dip switches 1 and 3 can be set to ON position

Section 2.4 Machine Power Supply

Aristocrat MK 5 Series 1 provides an Auxiliary 220VAC power supply outlet mounted
on the side of the power supply box. Please see the figure 2.4.1 below.

The SM 12VDC Power Supply is used with Aristocrat power cable, please see the
figure 2.4.2 below.

Section 2.5 Retrofit Procedure

Follow the following steps to retrofit the SM2005PE7014 into Aristocrat MK5 Series 1
machine.

1) Open the door and turn off the Aristocrat machine

2) Remove the existing bill acceptor (GPT) with all its pertaining brackets
3) Set up the dip switches on the SM unit as described in Section 2.3 figure 2.3.2
4) Install the SM unit as described in Section 2.1
5) Modify the original GPT cable to match the pin-outs in Section 2.2 figure 2.2.1
6) Change the protocol options to VFM4 as described in Section 2.3 figure 2.3.1
7) Connect the power supply as described in Section 2.4
8) Turn on the Aristocrat machine and close the door
9) Turn the reset key and turn the audit key. SM Bill Acceptor will turn green

Section 3 Machine RS232 Peru Communications Configuration Board Option

To perform retrofit for Aristocrat MK 5 S1 machine the following items are required:
Everything is the same as in the VFM option except SM-PE2013 software and
communication cable with RS232 wired plug (Length 180 cm) must be used, see the
figure below.
Section 3.1 SM Bill Acceptor Installation
______________________________________________________________________

SM2005PE2013 is retrofitted into the door of the machine by replacing the original
GPT bill validator. The same as in the VFM option

RS232 WIRED CABLE is made from the original GPT cable by replacing the
connector that is plugged into GPT bill acceptor with Cashcode RS232 wired plug. The
machine connector that is plugged into the JP1 plug stays the same.

Section 3.2 SM Bill Acceptor Pin-outs

The JP1 plug pin-outs and Cashcode pin-outs must be connected in the following
fashion. Please see the Table 3.2.1 below:

Section 3.4 Machine Power Supply

Aristocrat MK 5 Series 1 provides an Auxiliary 220VAC power supply outlet mounted

Section 3.5 Retrofit Procedure

______________________________________________________________________
Follow the following steps to retrofit the SM2005PE2013 into Aristocrat MK5 Series 1
machine.

1) Open the door and turn off the Aristocrat machine

2) Remove the existing bill acceptor (GPT) with all its pertaining brackets
3) Set up the dip switches on the SM unit as described in Section 3.3 figure 3.3.2
4) Install the SM unit as described in Section 3.1
5) Modify the original GPT cable to match the pin-outs in Section 3.2 figure 3.2.1
6) Change the protocol options to JCM3 as described in Section 3.3 figure 3.3.1
7) Connect the power supply as described in Section 3.4
8) Turn on the Aristocrat machine and close the door
9) Turn the reset key and turn the audit key. SM Bill Acceptor will turn green
