The Computer Cart
At the beginning of the school year I numbered each
laptop and assigned each student a number. Students
were given clear instructions about accountability and
responsibility. Somehow during testing, our cart got
exchanged with another cart and we ended up with
unnumbered laptops again. This led to missing keys and
crude messages being left on the keyboards. Once again, I
renumbered the laptops to enforce accountability. A check
out system for students that borrow computers from other
rooms was also implemented at this time.
