Allie demonstrated knowledge of the content she was teaching beyond what was in the curriculum. She was able to
clearly communicate this knowledge to her students without having to refer to notes or curriculum content. If she didn't
know the curriculum she would seek the proper resources to be able to understand the objectives being taught.

Allie differentiated by providing small group instruction in science and language arts. She reflected daily on her
instruction using student performance to guide her instructional delivery and adjusting her plans as necessary. Her
plans were always prepared thoroughly and appropriately.

Allie was able to engage students daily through small group, differentiated lessons in both subjects she taught. While
she was teaching, students were completing independent, technology integrated activities. At her teacher station she
used a variety of reading strategies, sorts, and engaging literacy based games.

Allie used a variety of formative and summative assessment techniques. She was able to use the results to form
differentated groups based on the results of preassesments. She also used results of summative assessments to
provide remediation for students who were not proficient.

From the first week, Allie treated students with respect. She has a calm manner and willingness to build relationships
with her students. Allie made improvements each week with her implementation of routines and procedures so that time
was used effectively. Each week, she also improved the level of student engagement by requiring students' attention
using various techniques.

From the beginning Allie was willing to take risks. For example, during a grade level collaboration our Technology
Specialist was informing us about an app based learning tool, later that same day Allie was meeting with her after
school to start planning a way to use the app. She displayed confidence during grade level plannings by discussing
student performance, sharing ideas and opinions about upcoming activities, and analyzing student data.

Students performed well on their science benchmark test which was a piece of evidence that Allie provided effective
instruction that held students accountable for learning. If students were. It meeting objectives throughout the unit, she
would plan ways to meet with those students to remediate.
