To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to wholeheartedly endorse Brian Bulmer for the position of Assistant Principal. I
have no doubt that Brian possesses the necessary skills and abilities to be an outstanding
leader.

I had the pleasure of working along side Brian when I was the director of the School of Quest
and Inquiry. Brian is a quick learner, has always embraced leadership opportunities, and is not
afraid to try new things. He takes initiative and enjoys finding innovative ways to solve
problems. Brian was instrumental in building the Project Lead The Way Biomedical Science
program. The enrollment in the program has increased significantly over the last several years
under his leadership. He has mentored other teachers in the science department and is now
serving as the teacher leader in Q & I. Brian is also an excellent role model for students. There
have been a number of students who have gone on to college to major in physical therapy,
sports medicine and other health care related fields after experiencing his classes.

Brian is flexible, adaptable, and is eager to take on new challenges. He has great organizational
skills and a pleasant demeanor. He is a team player and gets along well with other teachers,
parents and administrators. Brian has high expectations of himself and others, and he always
represents Decatur Central in a professional manner. He has a great sense of humor and can
add levity to a difficult situation, cracking jokes to relieve stress and at the same time can keep
a group on task. As an athletic trainer, Brian had to assess a crisis situation and immediately
administer the appropriate intervention. This ability to think quickly and make decisions is
exactly what an administrator needs to be able to do. At the same time, Brian has
demonstrated the ability to collaborate with others in decision-making processes, planning,
and delivering professional development.

I am convinced that with his take-charge, can-do attitude, inclusive approach, and a strong
grasp of adaptive leadership, Brian would be a tremendous asset to the leadership team in your
school.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information.

Sincerely,

Dr. Chris Duzenbery

To Whom It May Concern:

I highly recommend Brian Bulmer for a position in your school. Brian is an

outstanding educator. He works well with administrators, staff, families, and
students and goes above and beyond what is expected.

In the position of Teacher Leader of the School of Quest and Inquiry, Brian has
done an outstanding job coaching and challenging educators. I have witnessed
Brian introduce and model new concepts and strategies, and coach many new
teachers. Brian has completed TAP training, which has enabled him to do
classroom observations and provide essential feedback to peers. I have found him
to be a well trained, conscientious and a hardworking educator who willingly
gives his time to guide less experience educators. As Teacher Leader, he shows
concern for all students and always tries to do what is in their best interest. As a
teacher for Project Lead the Way, he has shown a genuine interest in his students
and their success.

Brian is always positive and strives to be the best he can be each day. His
communication skills with staff, parents and students are excellent. His patience
and ability to do what is best for students allows him to meet the demands of any
given situation.

If you have any questions concerning Brian, please call me at 317- 501-7390.
