Main features of Front Snow Cutter-Blower

1. Front snow cutter blower shall be suitable for cleaning snow (fresh as well as frozen) from
roads, lanes and pathways.
2. The snow blower should be compatible with 90 HP 4 WD Sonalika and New Holland make
tractors with suitable steel mounting plate for its installation.
3. It should comprise of two stage systems, first stage comprising of two cutter drums, both
held by the axle and the second stage shall have a high speed blower for snow ejection.
4. A suitable turn-able ejection device / Chute of steel structure shall be provided with
hydraulically controlled adjustable deflector for snow blowing.
5. Cutter drums shall be driven through reduction gear box and proper overload safety
arrangements shall be provided on both cutter drums as well as on blower fan in shape of
shear pins or safety clutch system.
6. Adjustable hardened steel sliding shoes shall be provided on both sides of the snow cutter
unit to absorb the blade weight in order to reduce the friction on ground and maintain
suitable height of the cutting edge from the ground level.
7. Cutter blower unit shall be driven with:
One unit (item No. A of annexure C) hydraulically operated with suitable hydraulic motor
mounted on it which shall in turn get its drive from independent hydraulic power pack unit
to be provided with said unit. Power pack unit shall get its drive from Tractor PTO shaft
available on the back side of the tractor.
Other unit (item No. B of annexure C) mechanically operated through PTO driven
shaft. The rear PTO drive of the tractor shall be shifted to its front through a series of
universal shafts mounted over a quick attach frame/tray to suit its fitment to PTO driven
cutter blower.
8. The operations of the snow cutter shall be controlled through 12 V electronic control unit to
be operated through Joy-stick from the operators cabin.
9. Tractor engine horsepower being 90 HP and no. of PTO shaft splines are 6. As such, power
pack / PTO drive shall be designed in accordance with these tractor parameters and suitable
for snow cutter-blower.
10. Adequate hydraulic pipes shall be provided for connecting power pack from back of tractor
to front mounted snow cutter. (minimum 20 feet long each line.)
11. Rapid attachment plate for mounting the said snow cutter to vehicle / Tractor shall be
provided with proper fittings and fasteners.
