Adaptive Reuse

The preservation of historic buildings in the past was focused on

renovating the buildings exterior, but in recent times, the modern heritage building
conservation policy makes use of Adaptive Reuse concept, which makes government
allocate new suitable use to these buildings after renovating them. This helps to put
the buildings in suitable use and expanding their social function (Kolo, D., 2015). The
protection of noteworthy structures in the past was centered around revamping the
building's outside, however, as of late, the advanced legacy building protection
arrangement makes utilization of Adaptive Reuse idea, which makes government assign
new reasonable use to these structures in the wake of redesigning them. This puts the
structures in appropriate utilize and extending their social capacity.

Before the exterior of the building are just being renovated, but as it passes through the
Adaptive Reuse policy are being implemented by many heritage sites and by this, it can
help the buildings to make use again and allocate more tourist after renovating it.

The sustainable functional utilization of the built heritage can restore and maintain its
characteristics, delay its decay, help to ensure its survival and lengthen the life of the
asset (Shehata, W., 2014). The reasonable practical use of the fabricated legacy can
reestablish and keep up its attributes, postpone its rot, guarantee its survival and stretch
the life of the advantage.

In order to sustain our culture, the adaptive reuse is essential for the future generations
where the utilities and facilities of the site will preserve by maintaining it through its
original state to make it last.

Run-down or abandoned properties place significant drains on local economies. They

can foster crime, fear, pollution and continued property abandonment (Hastings, S.,
Trumbull, N. 2011). Keep running down or relinquished properties put noteworthy
depletes on neighborhood economies. They can cultivate wrongdoing, dread,
contamination and proceed with property relinquishment.

Some of the abandoned buildings instill fear some locals and by not using it, they are
afraid to walk through the area and it reduces the property values of the neighborhood.
