Answer all questions in Section A with necessary steps.
The questions from 1 to 10, in Section A carries 4 marks each.

Find the square root of 5625, using prime factorization method.
Question 2
Leena bought 10 metres of cloth. She cut off 3.25 m of cloth for a kurtha
and 5.40 m for another dress. How much cloth is left over?

Question 3
John wants to earn an annual interest of Dhs 3000. How much must he
invest for one year at 8% per annum?

shown in the table below.

(i) Helena bought 4 packages of cat food at a store. The weight of the food in each
package was 2.25 kg. Helena opened all 4 packages of cat food and put two-
third of the total amount of food into a container. What is the total weight of the
cat food in kilogram, that Helena put into the container?

(ii) The length of a room is y metres.


a) Write the breadth of the room which is 20 m less than twice the length.

the total amount he will get by the end of the year?

(ii) A submarine was situated 450 feet below sea level. If it ascends 300 feet,
what is its new position? Represent it using integers.
(iii) Construct PQR of measure 600 using ruler and a pair of compasses.
Write down the vertex and the arms of PQR. Bisect PQR, using ruler
and a pair of compasses. Write down the measure for each angle so formed.
