    The most important reactions of alkenes and alkynes is addition reactions. Addition
    reactions can happen with halogen, hydrogen, hydrogen halide and water.
    Reactions of Aromatic Hydrocarbons

    Aromatic hydrocarbons reactivity is intermediate between those of alkene and alkane. Aromatic
    hydrocarbons are able to undergo the substitution, but not addition (unless under extreme temperature and
    pressure conditions).

    Bromobenzene can undergo another substitution reaction, producing a mixture of 1,3 and 1,4
    dibromobenzene (1,3 dibromobenzene being the most favoured).
