58. First, T [Good morning everybody! Before todays class, lets do a little

activity first. We will go on our Quizlet website to see how much you remember about

the vocabulary youve learned from the last class!]. Then T will use Quizlet to show

vocabulary one by one on the screen with pictures in flash cards and ask them what they

think it is and show the correct answers after.

68. T: [Good job everyone. Yesterday, we read a short article of being sick.

What should we do if we feel sick?]. Ss: [Take medicine/Call parents.]. T: [Ok, but if they

dont work, what you should do next?]. Ss: [Go visit a doctor.]. T: [Great. Lets watch a

video first to see how you would visit a doctor and get help when you feel

uncomfortable.]. Then T plays the video of At the Doctors to the whole class. Then T

will ask some comprehension questions about the details of the video like: What is the

patient experiencing? (the questions are on the video).

T shows the target expressions on the next page and asks them to read after.

77. T passes copies of Doctor's Activity Sheet with Treatment Cards to half of

the students and equal copies of Patient's Activity Sheet with Sickness Cards to the others, so

that Ss cant see each others sheets. Next, T does the sample conversation from the

worksheet with one of the students. T: [I will be the doctor and you will be patient.] After

that, T instructs Ss with Doctor's Activity Sheet read the instruction together. Then T

instructs Ss with Patients Activity Sheet do the same thing after. T asks comprehension

questions like what should the doctor do first? or How many doctors should you visit as a

patient? (2 minutes)
78. Ss will have 5 minutes to finish the sheets by walking around to communicate

with other peers. Meanwhile, T will also walk around to monitor Sss work.
79. After the activity, T will go through Ss sheets together with whole class. T:

[Whats your sickness? Who is your doctor? What kind of advice did he/she give you?] If

there are common mistakes or serious problems, T will revise with the whole class, for

example, the pronunciation.
