Reflection on Observation lesson

I thought overall this was a good lesson. This was the first
lesson I observed during clinicals so it gave me a good
idea on what to expect. I liked how the teacher went back
through a chapter that the students had already read in
order to teach them a new skill. She emphasized the
most important parts to help them make predictions. I
also noticed that she modeled how the students should
think through what they heard her read, and I think that
was essential to helping the students understand what to
do. Although students were practicing make predictions,
they also were learning about how to read a mystery
novel and I thought that was important that they were
learning different aspect on the text as they went along.
Observing this lesson was helpful to watch before
teaching my own because I learned the attitude and tone
that the students respond to best.
