PERSONAL PRONUNS: subject. They cannot be omited.

POSSESSIVE ADJETIVES: before the noun.


E.g: My pencil/ My pencils (invariable singular and plural)

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS: they stand alone.


E.g: This pen is hers/ These pens are hers. (Invariable sing. and plural)

Look at this:
I went out to meet a friend of mine. (not a friend of me)
Tom was with a friend of his. (not a friend of him)
Are those people friends of yours?

OBJECT PRONOUNS: after a verb or a preposition.


E.g: Give me my pen.
He is going to the cinema with her.

REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS: used with reflexive verbs or for emphasis.


E.g: Romeo and Juliet killed themselves for love.
The little boy wrote the whole story by himself.

RECIPROCAL PRONUNS:
Between 2: John loves Mary. Mary loves John. They love each other.

More than 2: John is playing with Peter and Jane.


Jane is playing with John and Peter.
Peter is playing with Jane and John.
The children are playing with one another.
