ABSTRACT
which leads to improved comprehension and adequate vocabulary development. This research
examines Year 5 Mawar pupils from Jerteh, Terengganu on dictionary speed and their motivation
in using dictionary with a newly invented aid called Taggin. Three participants have been chosen
for this research based on the early data collection. Taggin is especially designed to make
labelling more prominent in dictionary during word search process. Taggin aims to save pupils
time; enhance their dictionary skill and motivate pupils to use dictionary more. The instruments
for this research are observational checklist, interview and questionnaire. Taggin succeeded in
helping the participants to save their time. Based on the three instruments, the outcome shows
that Taggin has positively affect the participants time taken and their motivation in using

perbendaharaan kata yang berkesan di dalam kelas bahasa Inggeris yang membawa kepada
peningkatan kefahaman dan pembangunan perbendaharaan kata yang mencukupi. Kajian ini
mengkaji murid-murid Tahun 5 Mawar dari Jerteh, Terengganu pada kelajuan masa untuk
menyemak kamus dan motivasi mereka dalam menggunakan kamus dengan bantuan yang baru
dicipta dipanggil Taggin. Tiga peserta telah dipilih untuk kajian ini berdasarkan pengumpulan
data awal.Taggin direka khas untuk membuat pelabelan lebih menonjol dalam kamus semasa
yang digunakan untuk kajian ini adalah senarai semak pemerhatian, temu bual dan soal selidik.
Taggin Berjaya membantu para peserta untuk menjimatkan masa mereka. Berdasarkan tiga
instrumen, hasilnya menunjukkan bahawa Taggin telah member kesan positif kepada masa
peserta dan memberikan motivasi untuk mereka dalam menggunakan kamus. Taggin boleh
