Myanmar: Humanitarian Snapshot (03 Mar 2017)

Over the past six months Myanmar has


experienced a surge in new displacement
in four states, while humanitarian
organizations simultaneously faced severe
constraints on access. Border post attacks INDIA Kachin/Shan
on 9 Oct 2016 and subsequent security Restricted
operations triggered a new humanitarian KACHIN humanitarian
crisis in northern Rakhine. Intensified access. No
conflict resulted in new displacement in access to areas
Myitkyina
Kachin and northern Shan. Thousands controlled by
armed groups
were also relocated in Kayin State due to
permitted by
