This specification outlines the scope of work for supply of erection material and scope of erection /
construction activity for installation of new gas chromatograph analyser 7C6+9 in Sharq olefin plant.
Gas Chromatograph and Analyzer cabinet for SHARQ Plant located in Jubail Industrial City,
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Olefin Plant.

Analyzer Gas Chromatograph mainly consist of following items as a supply from the vendors.

a9 Analyzer Cabinet Approx. 2m 7L9 x 1.8 m 7W9 x 2.2m 7H9 which includes pre-installed Gas
Chromatograph, Air Conditioining system, Junction boxes, power distribution boxes.
b9 Primary Sample handling system plate mounted / enclosure
c9 Secondary Sample handling system plate mounted / enclosure
d9 Calibration/ Carrier gas cylinder
e9 Electrical heat traced tubing 7Approx.20 Meter9

Erection contractor scope of work for supply and erection shall be, but not limited to following:-

General:-
Supply of skilled, unskilled, supervisory and management staff for the works under consideration.

Safety permits shall be obtained from the respective authorities to carry out any work in plants,
since plant / units is already in operation.

Instrumentation works:-

Installation of Primary sample handling system at sample take-off point.

Installation and termination of electrical heat traced tubing from analyzer sample take-off point /
primary sample point to analyzer cabinet.

Supply of wall mounts support with necessary fasteners for installation of primary sample handling
system

Supply and installation of branch cables to existing plant junction boxes 7Unit rate shall be
applicable9. This shall include all accessories / fasteners like cable gland, lugs, clamp, cable tie,
cable tag plate etc. as required for branch cable termination at both the end.

Supply and installation of cable tray with clamping supports for branch cables 7Unit rate shall be
applicable9.

Supply and installation of SS316 tubing 7unit rate shall be applicable9 and fittings as required
for the interconnection of utility / return point of analyzer cabinet with existing analyzer house or
nearest tapping header. This shall include the pneumatic leak testing etc. as applicable.

Hook-up and installation of items like, secondary sample handling system, carrier / calibration
cylinder etc. for new analyzer cabinet.

Loop checking for the signals added in new analyzer system with existing plant DCS system. This
shall include the assistance to modification of existing DCS system for addition of new signals.

Supply of all consumables, fasteners, clamping material etc.as required.

For Electrical works:-

Supply and installation of two power cables to new analyzer cabinet from MCC / Control room
existing power distribution cabinet 7PDP-36-IP-04 for UPS and PDP-36PP-03 for NON0UPS9, 7Unit
rate is applicable9
Cable installation works shall include the laying, termination, glanding and testing of cables at both
the end.

All accessories / fasteners like cable gland, lugs, clamp, cable tie, cable tag plate etc. as required
for power cable shall be included as part of supply.

Supply and installation of cable tray with clamping supports for the power cables

Supply and installation of grounding cable 71C x 6 mm2, 25 meter, unit rate is applicable9 and shall
be connected from analyzer cabinet to the existing plant main grounding / bonding system.

For Mechanical / Piping works:-

Lifting arrangment, Loading / Unloading of Analyser cabinet and sub-accessories 7like, calibration /
carrier gas cylinder etc.9 from client warehouse to the location of new analyser cabinet, Opening of
trench / pit cover for cabling work.
Install pipe lines, fittings and valves to connect process utility 7like instrument air, nitrogen etc.9,
from existing headers in Analyser House AS-8006 to new analyser cabinet. Final connection with
new cabinet with SS316 tubing.
Install piping lines, fittings and valves for return points of new analyser cabinet to existing headers
in Analyser House AS-8006. Final connection with new cabinet with SS316 tubing.
All fabrication / erection, testing, installation, supporting and painting work shall follow as per
SABIC specification and as per existing UIPL erection contract terms & condition.

For Civil works:-

A concrete pad support to be provided for installation of new analyser cabinet. A pad will be made
over the exisitng floor slab. All required masonry and material shall be supplied by contractor.
Reinforced concrete for the pad shall meet the Sabic and Sharq standards.
Scaffolding service shall be provided for installation, erection of cabling and tubing.

Miscellenous works:-

Supply of structural steel material as required for carrying out above activity.

Fabrication / installation of supports for cable tray, piping, sample handling panel, analyzer cabinet
etc.

Refer enclosed schedules of rate Annexure-I for approximate scope of work for supply and
installation. Contractor shall quote for unit rates for all listed items.

The Schedule of Price shall be read with all other sections of this earlier bidding document, such as
drawings, data sheet, the conditions of contract and the specifications as these documents are
jointly explanatory and descriptive of the works included in the contract. Any interpretation of the
scope of work, made in the SOR or Technical specification/drawings/data sheet and other parts of
Bidding Document in isolation shall not be valid for any extra claims.
