Rattlesnake Eggs Prank

About this project:

The classic Rattlesnake Eggs prank has been redesigned, SoniDad style! These
instruction include printable graphics for the prank envelope with three different
creepy critter eggs: Classic Rattlesnake Eggs, Tarantula Eggs, and Scorpion Eggs. Just
wind the washer, carefully slide the frame into the envelope, close the flap, and your
prank is armed and ready. When your curious foe opens the envelope to look inside, the
washer is released, producing a loud, startling sound! Its all in good fun though.

harmless prank,
and this is one of
the best! This
project is simple to
make and a ton of
fun to pull off!

Whats it made of?

The Rattlesnake Eggs Prank envelope is made from printed cardstock. The frame
assembly is made from a butterfly paperclip, metal flat washer, and rubber bands.

Pick one of the three envelop designs for your

Carefully cut out the envelope graphic using the cut lines
cut lines as a guide as shown. For the best
appearance, make your cuts on the inside of each
cut line so the black lines wont appear on your
finished envelope. (fig. L)

Step 13
Use a straight edge or ruler to crease each flap
on the envelope. Align the ruler exactly on the
fold line as shown. (fig. M)
I like to cut the envelope
out on the inside of the cut
lines. That way none of the
lines show up on my finished

Lay the envelope on your work surface with the
back side facing up. Apply glue using a glue stick
in the area indicated on the lower flap as shown.

Fold over and Press
Bend the upper flap over onto the glued surface fig. O glue joint together
and firmly press the glue joint together. (fig. O)

Apply glue on the envelope bottom flap as shown

Step 17
Fold the bottom flap over onto the envelope and
press the glue joint firmly as shown. (fig. Q)

Arming Your Prank

Step 1:
Hold on to the frame as
shown and begin to rotate
the washer to wind up the
rubber band like this. Just
be careful not to let the
washer slip when youre
winding; you could get
smacked on the finger . . .
I like to wind the
ouch!
rubber band until it
has double knots on
both sides like this.
Potential prank energy
. . . Cool!

Step 2:
Hold on to the washer to
keep it from spinning as you
slide the frame inside the
envelope like this.

Step 3:
Now keep your fingers on both
sides of the envelope to keep
the washer from spinning as
you slide the frame all the way
down inside the envelope like
this!

Step 4:
Now close the envelope flap
and youre ready for some fun
pranking action!

There are lots of ways to

pull off this prank.
Sometimes I like to hand
the envelope to someone
and watch them open it.
Other times Ill just set it
out in an obvious place
where someone will see it.
We humans are very
curious, and looking inside
the envelope is almost
irresistible! Im sure you
will come up with your own
fun ways to use this
