Who is Family Focus?

Family Focus is a non-prot organiza on licensed by the Maine Depart-


ment of Health and Human Services. Its two Early Learning Centers are acces-
sible, engaging, state-of-the-art facili es. Both centers are accredited by the
Na onal Associa on for the Educa on of Young Children. Family Focus also
provides accredited before and a er School Age Child Care in the
Bowdoinham Community School, Harpswell Community School, Williams-
Cone School in Topsham, Woodside Elementary School in Topsham, , Haw-
thorne School (for Brunswick students), and summer programming.

Family Focus receives funding through the United Way of Mid Coast Maine
which helps support its infant and toddler programs. Family Focus also ac-
cepts Maine Department of Health and Human Services childcare vouchers
for child care.

Family Focus centers par cipate in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Pro-
gram. This ensures that meals/snack served to children in the centers follow a
healthy diet emphasizing fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-
fat milk and milk products, includes lean meats, poultry, sh, beans, eggs.

The State of Maine has created a system of ranking Quality programs to
