Team 4564 Orange Chaos
Who We Are
Orange Chaos is a team of high school students
in the Brewer/Bangor region learning S.T.E.M.
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) by
designing, programming and building a robot to
compete in a global competition.
The team participates annually in a four month
challenge by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition
of Science and Technology), a non-profit organization
dedicated to making S.T.E.M. education and careers
as cool as sports for kids. Learn more at

What We Do
Build Season: January February
Build season begins with the Global Roll-Out of the annual
challenge and a Kit of Parts from FIRST. In the span of six weeks the
team will design, prototype, program, build, 3D print parts, and test
a robot to complete the global challenge from FIRST. Each year is a
new challenge!
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and suppliers, Build Season
ends not with a test but with a robot ready to complete the
challenge.
Competition Season: March April
The team and their robot compete
in 2 head-to-head competitions
against 190+ teams to qualify for
the New England District
Championship.
The team can earn the opportunity
to compete against the best 400
teams from around the world at
the FIRST Championships. We have
qualified for this competition 3
times in the past four years.
Off-Season: May-December
The team meets twice weekly to develop new skills and gain
experience while training new members and working on special
projects.
The team also:
Competes in multiple Off Season events.
Mentor FIRST Lego Teams.
Host and volunteer at FIRST Lego League Qualifier and FLL

Regional Championship for grades 5 8 .

Regularly performs robot demos, training and info sessions
to spread STEM awareness.
Participates in parades and displays.
Give lectures on training days and demonstrate their skills
to help other robotics teams in the area.
