Introducing IELTS
IELTS stands for the International English Language Testing
System. It is a test for people who intend to study or work
where English is the primary language of communication.
Since 1989, IELTS has been widely regarded by both
academics and students as the model of English language
testing. In four central areas - experience, authenticity,
quality and global reach - it has proved itself time and
again. For thousands of colleges, universities and
companies around the world it is, quite simply, the best
way to gauge the English skills of your students and staff.

Should I take Academic or
General Training?
The Academic Module should be taken by those applying
for tertiary, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and
for those seeking professional registration.
The General Training Module should be taken by those
who are going to English-speaking countries to complete
their secondary education, or to undertake work
experience or training programmes not at degree level, or
for immigration purposes. The General Training Module is
not designed to test the full range of formal language skills
required for academic purposes.
Candidates should check the requirements with their
prospective receiving organisations / sponsors.
How much do I need to pay for
the test?
A test fee of Rp 2,700,000 will be charged, payable upon
registration. The fee should be paid in Rupiah.

What happens if I want to
postpone the test?
Candidates may postpone and request for a test date
transfer if they notify Yayasan Dewan Inggris Indonesia in
writing at least five (5) weeks prior to the test date and it is
subject to the availability of seats. There will be an
administrative fee of IDR 450,000. Candidates can
postpone the test date ONLY ONCE.
Can I cancel my test and get a
refund?
Candidates who seek to cancel their registration at least
five (5) weeks prior to the test date will receive a refund.
There will be an administrative fee of IDR 615,000.
If you cancel your test within five weeks prior to the test
date, you will not be eligible for a refund. This also applies
to registrations made within 5 weeks of the test date.
Candidates who seek to request a test date transfer or to
cancel their registration within five weeks prior to the test
will be eligible only if they can provide evidence to the
centre that their ability to sit the test has been affected by
an illness or a serious cause. Serious causes include:
Serious illness e.g. hospital admission or serious injury
(does not include minor illness such as a mild cold)
Loss or bereavement death of a direct family member
Hardship/trauma victim of crime, victim of a traffic
accident
The above must be supported by official documents such
as a doctors medical certificate or police report along
