Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

The artifact that I included to demonstrate my competency in standard 5F is a copy of

the notes/agenda taken during a social studies team meeting. This meets the standard
because it shows how the social studies team works collaboratively to better our
profession, our teaching, our classrooms, and most importantly to benefit our students.

Reflection on the artifact:

Working in a PLC has been a great experience because it gives me another resource to
use. I know I can always lean on my fellow social studies teachers to help me figure out
an issue, try a new strategy, and really help with any issue inside the classroom. I
believe being on the same page as them really helps the environment in our classrooms
which in turn can improve academics.
