Introduction
- Teacher asks students what we talked about before the weekend. What are we working on?
What concept are we furthering our understanding on?
*Teacher will call on students who volunteer.
- Teacher will inform students of what they will be doing during current class period.
- Teacher hands out a warm up for students

Body of the Lesson

THE LESSON PLANNER
- Teacher assigns students to complete their Ratios Exploration worksheet, while working in
their groups.
*Go over answers with class and ask students for explanations of how they found their
answers.
- Ask students to then complete Frayer Model, using their prior worksheets to aid them, while
working in their groups.
*Walk Around Monitor
*Go over model, by calling on random students.
- Then, ask students to begin working on the Ratios with M&Ms worksheet. Provide them with
materials.
*Walk Around Monitor
*Discuss student findings with class.

Closure
- Ask students what they understood from the worksheets that they completed. What is a big
idea that they are receiving from these tasks?
- Ask students to complete exit task individually.
