I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Jimmy Sieng. I have been Mr.
Siengs cooperating teacher for the last three months during his student teaching. As a
Nationally Board Certified Teacher in Middle School Math Education, I am keenly aware of what
it takes to be a committed and successful teacher. I believe Mr. Sieng not only meets but
exceeds these standards.

Mr. Sieng has many teaching strengths. He has established excellent routines, maintains an
orderly classroom and is fair and willing to listen to his students. He cares deeply about the
success of his students and often gives up his personal time to works with students, before and
after school, even during his prep period and lunch to provide additional help. He makes it a
point to know not just his students names but their hobbies and extracurricular activities,
motivating and engaging them by taking an interest in the things that interest them.

Mr. Sieng use of technology in the classroom complements and enhances his teaching methods.
In addition, Mr. Siengs willingness to collaborate with his colleges and incorporate these ideas
into his teaching has shown him to be a true professional. He is constantly changing and
updating his lessons to benefit his students and ensure their mastery of the concepts.
