If the child needs help, I will concentrate to teach them the new letter by gives them extra worksheets
and homework.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

First, let the students jump from 1 to 10 to engage them to my lesson. Then, I let them make a
circle by putting the song (make a circle big). Then, I will take the attendance by choosing the
helper hands to take the attendance and change the date of the day. Then, I will let them eat the
dates to gives them energy. After that, I will review with them by asking them about the sound of
the letter they take it before. Moreover, I will review with them by putting ABC song. This song
the MOE gives the teacher, and they use it in all kindergarten in the UAE. This song develops the
letter knowledge for students, and the children recognize the shapes of letter and sound of this letter
by using the sentence for each letter. Then I will review with them all the letter. Then, I will teach
them how we write a letter(D) and how they can write it correctly in the capital and small. Also, I
will teach them the sound of the letter using sentence (dinosaurs are dancing d d d ). Moreover, I
will let them how they can write the letter (D) on the board, and I will let each student write the
letter on the own board and show me when they finish.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) (High)

Material: Scissors/ glue /colour

Detail: I will let each student cut the picture and read the word using phonics approach and stick it
in letter D. So, they will learn the word start with a letter (D).

Independent Experience (small group activity 2) (medium)

In this activity, the student will see the picture of a dog and try to build up the word (dog) using
small paper that has the different letter.

This activity teaches the students to read, recognize different letter and build the word.
Independent Experience (small group activity 3) (low)

I will give the student glue and small color

paper and let them stick the color paper in
capital letter D. Then; I will let the students
color the small letter d. Also, I will let them
stick it in work display.

At the end of the lesson, I will review with the students and let them think about the word start with
a letter (D).

I will assess their level from the activity if they do the activity correctly. Also, I will assess their learning by
asking each one what this letter and the sound of the letter is. Also, I will let each one give me words start with
letter D

I taught an English lesson and specific letter D so I want to teach them how they write the letter
and sound of this letter.

Who is the lesson for?
The lesson for KG2 /1
Where did the lesson take place?
The lesson take place in the classroom in the carpet ONLY because the attendance is two students
(one boy, one girl).
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
In this lesson, I want to achieve my assessment to assess each child levels, so I give each student
white board and marker and let them write the new letter. To observe the students ability to write
the letter correctly.
What did the students do?
The students write the letter correctly, but I have two students they wrote the letter from the
wrong side.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
The students feel happy and are confident to write the board using their marker and white board.
Also, it helps the teacher to assess each child levels.
How well did your teaching relate to the students prior understanding?
Its related to students prior knowledge because I review with students the last letter they take it
before and let them to gives me words start with this letter.
How well did you engage the students?
I engage the students well because I give put to them several songs and I teaches them the
cleanup songs.

Explain the nature of the experience from the students perspective
The students like the way I teach them because I prepare to them hands-on activities and they like
clay and order the letter to make a word house. And I make all my activity eliminated, so they
like the way I did.
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
Yes, because the students in one activity I let them identify the letter of word horse and design it
with clay, and then I switch them with another group, so I let them build up the word horse. So,
they learn in a different way.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
In the future, I will bring to each student their board to assess their understanding of letter and to
observe them if they know how to write it or not.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
To be more professional, you should for me to document all students work and put in their
portfolio but its no time, so I let them take it to their home.
