This computer will print to the Hewlett Packard 4700
color laser jet printer located in the photocopy area. This printer will print both color, and black & white.
Printing is easy. Follow these steps:
1. Choose “File,” then “Print”
2. Choose to print in color or black & white 3. Click “OK” to confirm, and accept the cost of the print job 4. Remember the name of your computer 5. Go to the Print Release Station 6. Select computer and then select print job 7. Put money in the coin box 8. Click “Print” and collect your job from the printer
1. Choose “File,” then “Print.”
At the top of your document choose “File,” then “Print” and a window appears. This window is called the print window.
2. Choose to print in color or black & white.
In the print window you will see a drop-down box set with the default printer, Color (PCL) for basic color printing. You may print with Color (PCL) or change to either Black & White or Color (Postscript), which is used for advanced graphical prints. Both Color (PCL) and Color (Postscript) cost 15 cents per page and Black & White costs 10 cents per page. After clicking “Print,” a pop-up window will appear that will tell you the total cost of your print job. When you click “OK,” your print job will be sent to the Print Release Station.
Other special printing features are available when you
print such as two-sided or duplex printing, a choice of regular or legal size paper, and portrait or landscape view. To use these features, have the print window open and click the “Properties” button.
3. Click “OK” to confirm, and accept the cost of
the print job. After all choices have been made, click the “OK” button and the pop-up window will appear with the total cost of the print job. When you click “OK,” your print job will be sent to the Print Release Station.
4. Remember the name of your computer.
Be sure to remember your computer name so you will recognize it at the Print Release Station. The computer name is on the front of the computer and at the top of the monitor.
5. Go to the Print Release Station.
Your print job will be waiting for you at the Print Release Station located next to the printer in the photocopy area.
6. Select your print job.
To print out your job, click on the name of your computer. You will see a list with your print job(s). Click the box next to the job(s) you want to print, click “Print,” and a window will open with the total cost.
7. Put money in the coin box.
Deposit coins or $1 bills in the coin machine located next to the Print Release Station.
8. Click “Print” and collect your job from the
printer. Once you click “Print,” your jobs will be sent to the printer.
