Although the demand of energy consumption is so big, energy
obtained from fossil fuels must be reduced if not eliminated and substituted with an environmentally friendly alternative such as renewable energy sources, because this way we can reduce the air pollution and slow down global warming and reduce its effects.
Outline
Introduction + Thesis
1. The benefits of renewable energy are many, starting with the
reduction of the emissions of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases that are very harmful and one the main causes of global warming. a. Less Pollution b. Reduction of the effects of global warming 2. There are several renewable energy alternatives that are being considered to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels. a. Geothermal Energy b. Wind turbines as a method for obtaining energy c. Solar Panels 3. Ethanol and biodiesel are renewable fuels that reduce the air pollution and are produced from renewable resources like corn, soybeans, sugar cane and others. a. Benefits of ethanol and Biodiesel b. Government subsidy for corn-based Ethanol 4. Some people say that because of the dependency and the many uses there are for fossil fuels, alternative renewable energies might not be at the point where they can fulfill the demand there exists in the world for energy. a. Cost of production and distribution, fossil fuels vs. Renewable Energies. b. Renewable energy production c. Fossil fuel d. Benefits of renewables energies over fossil fuels.
