Inspection planning with the Engineering Workbench

With the Engineering Workbench you are able to test programs on a QM

inspection plan workbench to pick and edit. Using the offered workbench
functionality, you can create or edit inspection plans in a larger style.
The Engineering Workbench (TA CWBQM ) can be found in the menu tree at
the following location (Fig. 1):

Fig. 1: Engineering (QM-) Workbench

Before you can use the workbench, however a bit Customizing

work necessary. You will be prompted to select a workspace after
the transaction call. If you do not select a workspace and try to go directly,
you will receive an error message (Fig. 2):

After selecting the workspace and return (fig. 3) ...

... the workbench is available for selecting the inspection plans (Figure 4):

In addition to the selection options shown in Fig. 4, further selection options are
offered via the bottom button (Fig. 5):
Fig. 5: Further selection options

Let us take the first example:

You want to view and, if necessary, process all inspection plans in status 5
(blocked) for a particular plant. To do this, perform the following selection (Fig.
6) ...
Fig. 6: Selection example "locked test plans"

... with the following results:

They are located on the test plan head level . If
you have a different view on the output of the
information, this is certainly due to the table
setting . As you know, you can customize them
according to your desires for tables as shown
above (Fig. 8).

Fig. 8: Table setting

For example, if you want to release an inspection plan for use, you must select
this inspection plan (or plans) (step 1) and then press the modify / disable button
(step 2). You can then change the status of the plan (s) (step 3, figure 9). The lock
symbol, which is set with the 1st step, indicates that the test plan is blocked for
other use.

If the selection criteria are "omitted" during the intensive use of the workbench,
you can call them up via the menu Extras -> Selection criteria (Ctrl + Shift + F7) .

Plan Management Information :

On the head level, you can also find information about the number of times an
inspection plan was called and the last time (Figure 10).

2. Example: Create inspection plan

You can create inspection plans using the workbench. You are in the selection
screen of the workbench ( Fig. 4 ) and click the Execute button without selection
parameters. With the first call the question for a change number can appear and in
this case do not specify any. The following figure is shown (Fig. 11):
Fig. 11: Create inspection plan

In the Context area, enter the plant type Q and then press the Create button. Again,
the popup change number can appear. The table is now ready for input (Fig.
12). In this example, only the necessary header information, such as plank drop
text, work center (not visible), unit of measure is made and the status of the
inspection plan is defined.

Press the Create button. The inspection plan is created
and dependent on Customizing, a Plane group and
a Plane group counter are assigned. The system also
locks the plan directly from the system for "other" users
for care activities (Fig. 13).

The operation (operations) is now maintained. In the menu, you can reach
the activity level (Fig. 14), but before you select - even if it is only one line - the
test plan (Fig. 13).

The visualization process shows the planar head data and, due to the profile, the
corresponding entries in the task table (Fig. 15):

Enter the necessary information ,

such as work center ,
control key and short
text operation , and also click
the Create button. Select the line and
then go to the feature level via the

Maintain the necessary master inspection characteristics. The view of the

individual maintenance objects (control indicator, sample, ...) is easily reached via
the rider system (Fig. 17). Then save your entries.

3. Example: Plan Material Assignment

In order for the inspection plan to have a meaning, a material must be
assigned. You can access this maintenance screen via the menu -> Material-plan
assignment (Fig. 18):

Perform the material assignment as shown in Fig. 19 and save your entry.

4. Example: Editing Inspection Characteristics in the Inspection

Plan:
If you want to change inspection characteristics for certain inspection plans
within the selected selection, select the affected inspection plans and then go to
the inspection characteristic level (Fig. 20):
Fig. 20: Edit inspection characteristics

Select the desired inspection characteristics (fig. 21) and make the necessary
changes. All options are available, see Inspection characteristics .
Fig. 21: Visual inspection characteristics

Of course you will be offered navigation buttons (see fig. 21) to be able to call up
the next inspection plan.
If you are in danger of losing the overview due to the number of displayed
characteristics, you can also set a filter for a particular characteristic (Fig. 22). To
do this, select the master inspection characteristic column , call up the filter
function, and search for or enter the master inspection characteristic directly:
