My studies at New Jersey City University in mathematics and elementary education, as well as
previous permanent substituting positions and my past student internship, have allowed me to
hone my skills in the field. I have experience teaching fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth grade,
along with juniors and seniors in high school. I have gained knowledge of accommodating
different styles of teaching and incorporating effective methods to meet students needs.

In my most recent position as an elementary and middle school educator, I taught seventh grade
mathematics. I provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, and highly
praised instructional delivery. I submitted progress reports and report cards, and engaged in
parent teacher conferences.

I encourage student learning by active group work, creative learning centers, interactive hands on
activities, various forms of technology, and engaging visual aids. I have noticed that these
different types of teaching strategies improve students understanding and stimulate their brains.
