In the table below, write at least three THICK/DEEP questions based
on Macbeth and the scenes we specifically focused on (listed below).
THen you will be participating in a discussion with your classmates.
You will be graded on:
1. Your participation
2. The depth and analysis involved in your questions and answers
3. The depth of your reflection
4. Your respect to your classmates
It will be structured this way:
12 min to think of three questions and answers.
8 min for the inner circle to speak and the outer circle listen and take notes.
1 min for outer circle to contribute
5 min for inner circle to respond and continue
1 min to switch circles and reflect.
Repeat
15 min to write the reflection and fill in the rest of the assignment

Act 1 Scenes 3; The witches tell Macbeth that he will be the Thane of Cawdor
and King. Then Macbeth becomes the Thane of Cawdor because the Thane of
Cawdor was a traitor.
Act 1 Scene 5: Lady Macbeth reads the letter from Macbeth and decides to
convince Macbeth to kill King Duncan.
Act 1 Scene 7: Macbeth decides he doesnt want to kill King Duncan, but Lady
Macbeth gets really mad at him and convinces him to kill King Duncan by
framing the guards.
Act 2 Scene 2: Macbeth and Lady Macbeth murder King Duncan
Act 3 Scene 1: Banquo suspects Macbeth and takes Fleance away.
Act 3 Scene 4: Banquos ghost appears to Macbeth and he freaks out.
Act 4 Scene 1: The witches tell Macbeth that he to Beware Macduff, no man
born of woman shall harm Macbeth, and he should not fear until Birnam wood
comes to his castle. Then the witches show him a row of kings that are Banquos
sons.
Act 4 Scene 2: Macbeth kills Macduffs family.
Act 5 Scene 1: Lady Macbeth sleepwalks, washes her hands of blook, and
reveals her guilt.
Act 5 Scene 5: Lady Macbeths suicide, Macbeths monologues on life and death.
