Highlighted Problem

Week five was a Progress Test Week for all pupils. So, there was no
teaching and learning activity conducted this week. I planned to update my
portfolios since I will be free for the whole week. However I had found some
disruptive behaviors of pupils when I went to some classes to inspect the
pupils during their examination.

Problems analysis.

Some examples of disruptive behaviors which I observed during the

examinations are talking to friends during examination, walking around and
changing the sitting places, asking permissions to go out to washroom for
several times and disturbing their other friends who are doing the
examination. I realized that the pupils who disturbed the others were those
who finished the exam earlier. Apart from that, I found that the pupils were
good when the teachers are in classroom and only misbehaved when we
practicum teachers entered the classroom. When I asked my practicum
partner she shared to me that she faced the same problem when she went
to observe pupils during the tests. Pupils need to follow the exam rules and
be discipline as their misbehaviors might affect their other friends.

Problems Solution.
I found out a teacher who the pupils are afraid of. I used his name to
threaten the pupils. I told them that I will send those pupils names who are
misbehaving to the teacher to get punishment. Sometimes, I will threaten
them that I will send them to headmasters room. Fortunately, I found this
technique worked successfully as the pupils stopped their misbehaviors
immediately and focused on answering their tests. Thus, I managed to
control their misbehaviors during the test successfully.

I have read the article developing discipline among pupils to get to know
more about importance of discipline to pupils. Discipline is the key to
success - this saying holds true for all times and for all people of all age
groups. But for pupils it holds a great value. In this article they stated that,
discipline makes pupils good and perfect to behave or deals with the
things. It is an ornament of the pupils. Discipline leads the pupils towards a
perfect way of living.
Effectiveness

In my point of view, I would say that the solution for this problem is effective
as throughout my observation for this week, I could see that pupils were
scared to talk and disturb others during the examination. Thus, they are
behaving well during the exams.

SWOT Analysis

Strength

My strength for this whole week was I was able to inspect the examination
successfully. I have able to explain difficult questions in the examination to
the pupils even it were different subjects examination.

Weaknesses

My weakness for this examination week is I was not able to enter my own
class because of this examination. So I didnt have the opportunity to
observe my own pupils performance in English test.

Opportunity
I still got the opportunity to interact with teacher Sunitha regarding my
pupils performance in the test because teacher Sunitha was the one who is
going to mark my pupils examination papers.

Threat

My threat for this examination week was I was afraid of giving answers for
the pupils during examination for the difficult questions. This is because all
might give the same answers especially in Paper two which was the
subjective questions part. So I just try to help the pupils by giving clues.

Conclusion

Pupils must adopt the disciplinary aspects of every performance that

makes them successful all the time. Pupils who are not disciplined, they
should be taught and discouraged to be indiscipline. So that they know the
accepted behaviors that need to be shown in a situation such as during
examinations. So, discipline plays a great role in the life of pupils.
