A prophet serves as a link between people and God.

He has a responsibility to
know and announce Gods will in the immediate situation in a way that the original
audience can understand and respond to. In addition, it is his main objective to
encourage people to regain fidelity to the covenant, and failing that, to specify the
punishment for their disobedience. Prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel are no
soothsayers, their prophecies highlight the harsh realities that people are facing
during their times i.e. the Assyrian Crisis, Babylonian Threat and Post-Exilic
Adjustment. Isaiah said that the quality of Judahs future depends upon the ruling
classes willingness to show compassion and practice social justice. Jeremiah
advised that people must be prepared for exile and must pray for their captors.
Ezekiel announced a message of judgment and doom on Jerusalem and the temple
and the importance of individual responsibility.

From studying for more than ten hours a day, memorizing endless pages from
assigned books and readings to trying to calm oneself the moment he is called for
recitation, these are the challenges a law student faces every day. There are times
that questions will be answered correctly and more frequent times when it will not,
which would lead to ask the question, Is law school really for me? It is a fact that
most of law students try to cope with these kinds of situation. And because it is only
you and your fellow aspirants who understand each other, it is but righteous that
you help each other in reminding that everything happens for a reason and that
goals will be fulfilled through believing in God and bringing out our full potential
through hard work. Ora et Labora, that is Pray and Work. San Beda College taught
us to study hard like you didnt pray and pray harder like you didnt study. We shall
let others realize that perhaps the effort and time we exert for studying is not
enough or that we sometimes forget to seek guidance from God.

The word became flesh through Christ to save us from sin, death and eternal
separation from God. The Lord gave His only son so thus we might know God's love.
During those times, Christ became a model for Holiness and served as a reminder
that we are created in the liking of God. It is also through His coming that we are
made sharers in his divine nature.

The life of Jesus Christ is described to be the path of the people of God to
Salvation. Jesus Christ is the personification of Gods incomparable and
immeasurable love for us. This love speaks of truth, hope and sacrifice. We are
aware of these virtues, but most of us have lost sight of their essence. In a world full
of differences, discord and greed, a lot of people tend to see only the negative side
of life. We have let anxiety and fear eats us up, that we fail to live life according to
Gods will. Viewing Jesus Christ and his life as not merely a biblical or religious
matter, but a message or reminder from God which speaks to us to embody truth,
hope, sacrifice and love is how Jesus life becomes a Good News to all of us in this
present time. The life of Jesus Christ reminds us that although life is filled with
anxiety, fears and doubts, it is our faith in God that will allow us to change or
surpass the circumstances we are in. It is in the good news of the coming of Jesus
Christ that we see the truth behind our lives, the hope that faith can bring and the
greatness of the sacrifice Jesus has done in order to lead us back to the light of
Gods love. Even though the miracles performed by Jesus happened a long time
ago, its message will transcend through ages for it is the mark of the unchanging
love of God and is His covenant with His people.
