In some countries around the world, voting is compulsory.

Do you agree
with the notion of compulsory voting? !f voting is compulsory in a
democratic society, what are some conclusions we can draw about the
nature of democracy?

It is certainly true that democracy is the only option available after the
decline of colonial era as many countries have adopted democracy, yet few
countries even today follow monarchy with limited power to the heirs of the
kings dynasty. Though there is no other better option than decmocracy,
people show their anger on the poor administration of the political parties
by abstaining from voting. This idea to show their contempt is agreeable to
some extent, but the result would make inappropriate and unsuitable
candidates as their representatives.

To begin with, abstaining from voting on a poll day will certainly create an
unwilling and evil development on the society as there might be a
situatution that the helm of administration could be captured by a unfit
political party. Many political scholars view the idea of not voting as crime
and they have been suggesting to make voting compulsory.

On the other hand common people are annoyed, owing to the poor
administation and misuse of power to create wealth by indulging in illegal
scams and bribes. The only weapon that common people have in their
hand is just their vote, to punish these political people, though voting is
argued by many scholars as a duty of every citizen.

In ultimate analysis, it is a quite evident fact that voting is the prime duty of
the people living in a democtratic country and it should not be neglected
for any reasons. Though people have experienced worst governance by
few political parties and lost their belief on democratic administrative
system, people should vote for their leader.
