WhoCanParticipate?
Anystudentinanydegreeareawhoisinvolvedinaresearchproject(i.e.,graduate,undergraduate,
seniordesign)atMontanaTechorattheHighlandsCollegeiseligibletoparticipateinTechxpo.
Studentsmusthavetheiradvisorsapprovalbeforeregistering.

RegistrationDeadline:
ThedeadlineforstudentstoregisterforTechxpoisMarch2,2017.Studentsmustregisteronlineby
visitingwww.mtech.edu/techxpoandclickingonTechxpoRegistration.

PosterorExhibit(Booth):
Studentscanregisterforaposteroranexhibit(booth).

Studentswhoregisterforaboothwillberequiredtoprovidethesizeoftheboothneededto
accommodatetheirproject.

Studentscanrequestvariousitemsfortheirdisplay,includingatable,chairs,electricity,etc.Alimited
amountofAVequipmentisavailablethroughTechxpo.Therefore,mostdepartmentswillneedto
supplytheirstudentswithanylaptops,projectors,andscreens.

Judging:
Projectswillbedividedintodegreearea.Eachdegreeareawillbejudgedseparately,andonefirst
placeposterwinnerandonefirstplaceboothwinnerwillbechosenfromeachdiscipline.

Whenregistering,studentsneedtopaycarefulattentiontowhichdegreeareatheylistfortheir
project.Forexample,ifastudentisenrolledinGeneralEngineeringbutispursuinganemphasisin
MechanicalEngineering,theyneedtodecideiftheywanttobejudgedinGeneralorMechanical.
Whateverdegreeareaislistedontheregistrationformistheareainwhichthestudentwillbejudged.

Onlythosestudentsinattendancewillbejudged.Judgingwilltakeplacefrom1:454:30pm.
Students(oratleastonerepresentativeperteam)mustbepresentduringjudging.Judgingwillbe
conductedbyapanelofindustryprofessionals.

ALLpostersmusthavegrommetsforhanging.Pleaseensurethatyourposterisalsomountedona
foamboard.

Allposterswillbeprintedforfreeoncampusprovidingthattheyhaveawhitebackground(noposters
withacoloredbackgroundwillbeprinted)andmeetthesizerequirementsof36x48.

deadline,theywillneedtohavetheirposterprintedatanoffcampusfacilityandincurtheexpense.

SetupforTechxpowillbeheldonWednesday,April26,2017,from4:307:00pm,ONLY!Pizzawill
beprovidedtoallstudentsduringsetup.Nolateordayofeventsetupwillbeallowed.

Prizes:
Theeventwillconcludewiththeawardceremony.Cashprizeswillbegiventoboththefirstplace
posterwinnerandthefirstplacebooth(exhibit)winnerineachdegreearea.TheBestinShowaward
willalsobeacashprize.
