M.Tech.
MICROELECTRONICS

Apply Now

Semiconductor technology and industry at the nanometer scale remains a key driver for the world economy. World-wide
electronics is expected to reach 2.4 trillion dollars by the year 2020. Microelectronics engineering is a multi-disciplinary field of
study and research of both in terms of fundamentals, for example, physics, materials and chemistry required to make devices
work, building complex analogue, digital, mixed signal, RF systems and with regard to its wide variety of application areas. The
design of microelectronic circuits requires a sound knowledge of device physics, electronics, IC testing and circuit analysis.
Microelectronics play a vital role in all fields of innovation like advanced health care, telecommunications and smart grids. The
ever increasing demand for processing power, sensing capabilities and miniaturisation makes microelectronics the most
innovative field of all.

The four semester M.Tech. Microelectronics programme for working professionals provides electronics engineers with the highly
specialised knowledge and experience that they need to design, fabricate and test devices, circuits and systems at micro and
nanoscale.

Programme Highlights
Learn without any career break by attending weekend lectures in Bangalore led by BITS Pilani faculty
Industry relevant & rigorous curriculum that integrates modern academic content with evolving requirements of the
workplace
Projects drawn from the work environment provide a professionally relevant learning experience
