School Improvement/Strategic Goals:

- 21st Century Learning Curriculum started
- Professional Staff who are knowledgeable of what Rigor, Relevance and Relationships are
about
- More and better relationships build with Business Community
- Professional Staff feel that In-Services are meaningful and beneficial
- Increased availability of technology to students, and technology being used as a teaching
resource by all Professional Staff

URGENT
* HASD Elementary Schools:
- Counselors will continue to develop career portfolios for all students starting in first grade.

* Hortonville Middle
- Counselor will gather information (career, academic, personal/social) on current 7th grade
students to lay the foundation for conferencing at the 8 th grade level during the 2017-2018
school year.

* Greenville Middle
- Counselor will evaluate data and determine strategies to increase percentage of parents
attending the conferences.
- Students will continue career portfolios and develop Individualized Learning Plans.

Hortonville High
- Counselors will evaluate completed 11th grade conference evaluations and
write-ups to assess an accurate appraisal of parental and student
participation across demographic areas.
- Counselors will evaluate the effectiveness of current approach to 9 th
grade conferencing.

IMPORTANT
* HASD Elementary
- Counselors will continue completion of the Kids at Hope report card. This data will be
shared with parents and or significant adults at the parent-teacher grade conferences.

* Hortonville Middle
- Counselor will administer career and personality inventories with all 8 th grade students by
the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

* Greenville Middle
- Students will participate in Wisconsin Careers in 7 th and 8th grades.
- Integration of a suicide prevention program

* Hortonville High
- Counselors will evaluate all counseling services provided in the high school for the purpose
of determining essential units and time line for implementation.
- Counselors will seek more collaborative inter-disciplinary implementation of counseling
model/curriculum with curricular departments.
- Counselors will review Level II curriculum for the purpose of prioritizing which units of
instruction will be delivered at each grade level during the 2017-2018 school year.
