Monthly Summary (3 to 5 sentences) on what I did to support teachers
Teacher Leaders will take a focused look at campus, content area and grade level data to determine gaps, needs and questions.
1 August: Teacher Leaders will identify 1 to 3 student-centered Instructional
Practice criteria that will be the focus for the school year, based on the data, teacher capabilities, and student needs. 1 During the August training period I took this opportunity to identify the student centered Instructional Practice Rubric that will be supported during the school year. I also discussed with the Principal and the Dean of the Math Department, as to what teachers that I would be supporting throughout the school year based on the data and student needs. 2 September: Teacher Leaders will gather the assessment data in the Instructional Practice focus that yields evidence of gaps in student performance 1 Together, I, Math team and campus began the process of developing common assessments that were directly related to last year STAAR and District snapshots. Each of contact areas used the assessment to pinpoint the weak areas in individual student testing. The data form was revised and used to scrutinize the common assessments. 3 October: Teacher Leaders will use the observation cycle tools to document collected data and post observation reflective conversation. Also, create a huddle and invite supported teachers to the huddle. 1 I selected the one teacher, Mr. D. Jackson to be my case study all year long. We both maintained a journal of reflections of support on students and instructional strategies. I have annotated comments on SIBME for Mr. Jackson. 4 November: Teacher Leaders will begin a case student of 1 teacher. Growth will be evaluated from November-February. Case Study, Part I: Teacher Leaders will have each teacher submit an ASW document for the 1 class period that they are evaluation Teachers will also video 1 class period and completed a reflection sheet with their Teacher Leader. 1 I have selected the teacher for the case study and I uploaded a 5 minute video in November with time-stamped comments. 5 December/January: Teacher Leaders will use all coaching tools to document student centered coaching. Also, facilitate the teachers routine of setting small goals using the CAL. 1 I uploaded the OPA Baseline Data and annotated evidence of impact of resources shared that enhance impact on student achievement. 6 February: Teacher leaders will select one teacher to be case study all year long. 1 I uploaded a 5 minute video of supported teacher video of best practices with 15 time stamped comments. Also, I compiled a list of strategies and resources that effectively help teachers grow in their focus on student achievement, performance and behavior.
7 March: Compile a list of strategies and resources that effectively help
teachers grow. Achieve professional learning opportunities that worked best and lessons learned. Teacher Leaders will submit closing evaluation from teachers that they serve this school year. I used Survey Monkey to get feedback on my performance as a leader in Hartman MS.
