How does the TURBO Ventilators works?

The ventilators works on TWO simple principals, The WIND VELOCITY &
TEMPERATURE & CONVECTION. The wind-powered ventilator operates mainly by
utilizing wind velocity. The blades are very lightweight & therefore even slightest breeze
causes turbine to spin.

The wind-operated ventilator creates a region of low pressure under the turbine caused by
centrifugal force of spinning blades. The airflows from high-pressure area to low-pressure
area, the hot air fumes & smoke is driven out through the turbine & continuously replaced by
outside fresh air. Secondly temperature difference between the outside & inside of factory
shed, warehouse, building etc. causes a difference in air density, which in turn causes
difference in air pressure.

Even when the wind does not blow, due to the convection effect, the turbine keeps spinning.
As the accumulated hot air, fumes, smoke etc. is driven out by ventilator it is replaced by
fresh air at ambient temperature entering through doors, windows etc. Thus convection cycle
is complete. In short this system brings down inside temperature by 4 -6 deg. Celsius & tries
to maintain ambient temperature.

Since the ventilators spins using wind energy it has certain limitations regarding exhaust
output. Unlike electrically operated devices, it does not exhaust fumes or smoke
instantaneously; It removes heat, smoke or fumes slowly but continuously, because it has no
fixed input energy. As the input varies, output also varies.

Material of Construction :- The main rotor which spin, is made out of industrial grade
aluminum, Center shaft & bracings are of SS 304. It has double shielded two nos. of ball
bearings. Since ball bearings are double shielded no greasing is necessary & effect of
galvanized plane sheet. In case of corrosive fumes we recommend either stainless steel or
powder coated rotor & other items like duct & base plate made of FRP moulding.

There are THREE types of models are available i.e. 18, 24 & 40 dia. Generally 24 dia.
fans are recommended for industrial use, however depending on the size of shed &
inside activity etc. is considered for use.

The TURBO Ventilators can be mounted on any type of roof except cement concrete slab.
The restriction of RCC slab is because once we break the slab, then we cannot assure of
leakages. But for a new factory under construction can be recommended.

Advantages of TURBO Ventilators

Healthy Living :- Turbo Ventilator is a free spinning roof ventilator that provides fresh air
in your roof space and living area with 24 hrs X 365 days free of charge with uniform
ventilation.

No Cost Operation :- Turbo Ventilator is a self contained; wind powered ventilating system
so no electricity or wiring expenses incurred. A slight breeze is sufficient to spin the rotary
turbines but even without wind it still ventilates.

Reduced Power Costs :- Through proper ventilation, your working and living environment
would not be so hot, humid and damp. This will reduce power consumption of air-
conditioners and fans.

Increase Productivity :- By promoting healthier and more comfortable working

environment through proper ventilation.

Remove Odour and Smoke :- Industrial fumes, kitchen, cigarette, insect repellent etc,
would be removed through these Roof Ventilators. No ingress of rain water.

Reduce Maintenance Costs

Heat trapped ceiling space can cause electrical wiring to dry and crack.
Rising damp in winter cause plaster to crack and damage paintwork.
Metal fittings in attic can corrode.
Trapped moisture causes mildew on ceiling and moulds on roofing tiles. By getting rid
of the hot and damp air, the above problems can be eliminated.
