CLASSROOM RULES
Rules and procedures are fundamental in life. We follow rules and procedures in our daily lives for things
such as approaching a traffic light, starting a car and driving, and making a letter. There are also rules and
procedures in this classroom. These rules and procedures ensure a positive atmosphere in the
classroom. They contribute to a controlled and learning environment for everyone.

1. Respect the teacher and classmates

You respect the teacher when you do what he/she says, dont talk back, do not touch his property
without permission, and follow all classroom rules and procedures.
You respect your classmates when you follow classroom rules and procedures)

2. Turn off cell phones & electronic devices

Electronic devices (CD players, Ipods, handheld games, mini-TVs or personal DVD players, cell phones,
pagers, etc.) are NOT permitted in my classroom.
Cell Phones should be turned off and invisible during the class period. If I see or hear your phone it will
be taken away and given to an administrator, according to cell phone policy outlined in the CHS
handbook. Refusal to turn over the cell phone will be treated as insubordinate behavior.

3. No food or drink, except water

You may drink bottled of water in the classroom

4. Arrive to class on time & ready to learn

When the bell rings, you need to be sitting in your seat.
If tardy return to office for tardy slip

5. Do not cheat, plagiarize, or copy work

6. Use polite and appropriate language

Offensive, derogatory, and profane terms are not tolerated. In order to have a safe classroom
environment where all students feel comfortable, no put downs, swear words, or slang words with
demeaning connotations will be accepted. Remember, if you dont have something nice to say, dont say
it at all!
7. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
This means you do not throw things, kick things, push people, hit people, etc.)

8. School Rules:
All school rules, as addressed in the Student Handbook, should also be followed.

9. LAST AND FINAL IS I AM THE TEACHER AND WHAT I SAY GOES!!!!

Consequences
Everything we do in life has consequences. If you choose to run a red light, you must accept the
consequences that come with it (traffic ticket, taking someones life, crashing your car, etc.).
Consequences are the things that happen to you when you choose not to obey a rule. This is what will
happen if you choose to violate one of the classroom rules:

1. 1st time: Warning in disciplinary system and 0 for the days participation grade
2. 2nd time: Lunch Detention
3. Multiple Lunch Detentions automatic administrative counseling

Rewards (BULLDOG BUCKS)

1. I will recognize students who choose responsible behavior by giving BULLDDOG BUCKS to spend
however they choose.
