Grade Level: Kindergarten

Subject: Mathematics
Description of Learning Goals, Standards, Objectives
CC/GPSs: CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.B.4
Understand the relationship between numbers and
quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.B.4.a
When counting objects, say the number names in the
standard order, pairing each object with one and only one
number name and each number name with one and only one
object.

Standards: 2. Digital Citizen
3. Knowledge Contractor

Long-Term Learning At the end of this unit of curriculum the students will be able to identify
Goal or Outcome: numbers and the relationship between numbers and quantities. Students
will also be able to count object with paring each object counted with one
and only one number name.

ABCD Objectives or With your learners characteristics in mind, take the standards written
Outcomes: above and rewrite them using the Audience Behavior Condition Degree
method. Note: You will need to break down the GPSs into several
objectives.

Description of Assessment
Assessment Plan: Ob1: Students will complete an oral assessment with teacher one on
one to ensure the objective is understood.

Ob2: Student will use the application Park Math while teacher over sees
their activities on the application to make sure they are understanding
the concept of counting each object with one and only one number
name.
Description of Activities with Technology and Materials
Activity Design:

As a warm up I would like to write a couple of

Class starter and lesson connection: numbers on the board and have my students tell
me what they know.

Teacher and student activities: We will do an activity that each student can earn
points for after the lesson on learning the
numbers and how to pair them with objects. Each
student will have a scoreboard and there will be
prizes given to certain point values.

I will use the standard memory strategy and try

and get them to memorize the numbers and how
to pair them with object while we count them.

I directly will count aloud the objects slowly so

Technology Connection: they get the concept of identifying the objects with
the number.

For the activity on the application Park Math the

students will work individually.

I will be using Park Math for the practice of this

lesson so that the students can focus on the
lesson in a more fun and interactive way.

I will use 4 iPads and the students will rotate

around the room to practice. I will also send home
a homework assignment that the student will
have to work on with their parents.

Materials and Resources: Park Math

Reflection on Lesson Design
Future Actions : In my next lesson plan I would like to incorporate
a few more strategies and create a lesson plan to
fit a first grader so that my students will begin to
learn towards the next level.

If I had more time I would use more resources

and created a few more activities for my students
to do that would keep them interested in the
lesson.

My technology artifact makes the students

remember the lesson, and follow instructions
given to them from the application. They will need
to slowly count their numbers the correct way to
get the points in the game.

The instructions of game pan out to be

recognizing the numbers and being able to apply
them to the game. They will need to feed a
certain amount of food to certain animals and
they will need to count out loud to do so. They will
also find themselves identifying objects by
numbers as they are counting how many apples
are in a tree.
