students, graduates and other members of the petroleum engineering community of the
National University of Colombia Medelln, developing the following specific objectives:

a) Generate, exchange and acquire knowledge in new technologies and advances in the
oil and gas industry.

b) Promote and seek to raise the academic, scientific and social level of students of
petroleum engineering at the National University of Colombia.

c) To promote relations between petroleum engineering students from the National

University of Colombia and companies in the business and industrial environment of our
country.

d) Ensure the overall well-being of petroleum engineering students at the National

University of Colombia, during the course of their studies in it.

e) Perform events for the integration and recreation of the students of the National
University of Colombia that promote the academic, social and scientific development of the
members.

f) To awaken the leadership spirit and the awareness of the importance of its role both in
the national and international oil industry and in society, leading to solutions to both specific
problems of the industry and specific problems of the social environment in which it
develops.

g) Contribute to the development of a culture of knowledge in all areas of regional

academic life, orienting the best of its efforts to integrate its members and the Society.

ACTS: In order to fulfill its purpose, it may acquire or dispose of all kinds of property under
any title, encumber or dispose of them, have them or deliver them to pledge; Give and
receive money in mutual, turn, endorse and in general, negotiate all kinds of securities, hold
all kinds of acts or contracts authorized by law, aimed at the fulfillment of its objectives.
Receive donations, inheritances or bequests and in general all kinds of commercial acts that
have relation, in order to perform the functions necessary for the execution of its object.
PARAGRAPH 1. The entity may fulfill its purpose, either directly or with the collaboration of
other entities of the petroleum sector or that carry out activities similar to SPEUNALMED.

3. To call the Student Associates to extraordinary meetings, by decision of the Board of

Directors to the General Assembly, in order to inform the same of different aspects of

4. Provide, whenever required, a written report of the work of the Board of Directors of the
Student Chapter to SPE Colombia or SPE International and supply any information that may
be requested for reasons of their functions.

5. Sign the acts of the Chapters meetings once approved.

6. To communicate to the Board of Directors of SPE Colombia, the total or partial changes
of the Board of Directors of the Student Chapter.

7. Report to the Board of Directors of the Student Chapter when they are separated from
their position temporarily or definitively.

8. To ensure the fulfillment of the duties of the Associate students to the Student Chapter,
as well as to ensure the respect and fulfillment of their rights.

9. Establish support agreements between the chapter, the Oil Industry and the National
University and other academic institutions.
