Lets Go Outside

Lesson #1 March 28, 2017

GENERAL OUTCOMES
General Outcome A
Students will acquire skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate
movement activities; dance, games, types of gymnastics, individual activities and
activities in an alternative environment; e.g., aquatics and outdoor pursuits.
GENERAL OUTCOME B
Students will understand, experience and appreciate the health benefits that result
from physical activity.
GENERAL OUTCOME C
Students will interact positively with others.
GENERAL OUTCOME D
Students will assume responsibility to lead an active way of life.
SPECIFIC OUTCOMES
AK1 experience and develop locomotor skills through a variety of activities.
AK7 experience the basic skills in a variety of environments.
AK10 demonstrate body and space awareness when performing space awareness
games.
AK11 demonstrate an understanding of basic rules and fair play.
BK2 recognize improvement in physical abilities.
BK3 experience cardio-respiratory activities.
BK4 recognize personal abilities while participating in physical activity.
CK1 begin to develop respectful communication skills appropriate to context.
DK1 show a willingness to participate regularly in short periods of activity with
frequent rest intervals.
DK2 participate with effort in physical activities.
DK3 show a willingness to listen to directions and simple explanations.
DK4 participate in safe warm-up and cool- down activities.
DK5 experience moving safely and sensitively through all environments; e.g.,
movement activities.

Watched students and checked off the outcomes as they were doing the activities

NOTES AND REVISIONS


To play inside of a gym instead of outside so the boundaries are clearer to the
students and that some students cannot wonder off.
