Introduction

Vitelity provides high quality SIP trunks that can be configured within the Elastix interface. In this
document youll learn how to perform the required configurations to get started making phone
calls in little time.

Getting started

Before setting up your trunk please make sure to gather the following information assigned to
you by Vitelity:

Username
Password
DID
SIP inbound server (See the Support page of your Vitelity portal under Basic SIP
credentials)
Accessing Elastix

In order to access the Elastix interface, you must direct your browser to http://<ELASTIX
SERVER IP ADDRESS>. At the login prompt you must supply the admin credentials (default is
admin/palosanto). You should now be presented with the complete Elastix control interface.

SIP versus IAX2

Vitelity recommends the use of the SIP protocol as IAX2 is not currently supported.

In the Elastix interface locate and click through the menus to:

PBX PBX Configuration Trunks

Outgoing route

In order to place calls through your Vitelity trunk you must now configure an outgoing route.
Direct your browser to the following menu on the Elastix interface:

Now just click on the Submit button and then on the pink bar at the top that reads Apply
Configuration Changes Here. This is required for the changes to take effect. See the picture
below for reference.

Making a test call

From any extension of the Elastix PBX you may dial as follows:

USA destination: 1 + AREA CODE + PHONE NUMBER (e.g. 14083512729)
