1. AIMS

The main aims of this lesson are to:

To demonstrate how to correctly cut and whistle the wedge of the whistle
for the students to settle down to the fact of having a new teacher.
To gain a fuller understanding of the students current skills mark
To introduce and get the students enthusiastic about the project they are
starting
Introduce the students to the drawing of the artefact they are going to make
Start marking face side and edge and identifying each piece with the plans

3. THE LESSON

body of the whistle and
remove the waste piece
using the saw.

a saw to cut the wedge. The
teacher then gives a further
demonstration on cutting the
wedge face using a chisel to
create a sharp clean edge.
14:15 / The teacher directs the

and then patrols the
classroom observing and
helping individual students
correct their technique.
CLOSURE (END)
15:35 / The teacher directs students
15:45 to tidy away their project
pieces and tools. While
students are packing the
teacher is asking revision
