Objectives To help educate students on various lessons and help give visual
representations while also speaking in the background for students

4. Tell a story or recount an experience with appropriate facts and relevant,
descriptive details, speaking audibly in coherent sentences.
5. Create audio recordings of stories or poems; add drawings or other visual
displays to stories or recounts of experiences, when appropriate, to clarify
ideas, thoughts, and feelings.
6. Produce complete sentences, when appropriate to task and situation, in
order to provide requested detail or clarification.

Teaching Timeline
Please make a very detailed step-by-step timeline for the whole activity that you can follow

Step 0 Arrival and Set up (5:15-5:30 arrival)

Step 1 Opening - getting to know each other; thinking of something to engage the kids
to be in a talking mood? (3 min).
Example: Start with an ice breaker: Two Truths and a Lie

Step 2 Sorting and Ordering: Guide students to sort the items into groups; Put the items in
order so the digital story flows (5 min)
Take a picture of the student and each of their artifacts in the order they want to talk
about them.

Step 3 Pre-scripting: using a TEMPLATE you have created (15 min)


Have the students fill out the template goes with step 4.2.
Example to the students exactly what they are going to be doing.

Step 4 Digital Storytelling procedures - in fine details (20 min)


4.1- Show Example-if time permits
4.2- Fill Out Template- answer the questions and draw a picture on their
artifacts in the boxes
4.3- Make voicethread/ iMovie Allow the students to re-record if they are not
satisfied.
